George R. Poe was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas. During his high school years, he worked for a local pawn shop, and at age 20, he opened his own pawn shop. He did not have money to buy fancy shirts, and the pawn shop atmosphere was very laid back. He went to Walmart and bought five cheap Hawaiian shirts. George was very well known in Pasadena, and people would notice if he was not wearing a Hawaiian shirt. He could see a trend and decided to stay with that fashion. It worked.
 
He became fascinated with jewelry that came into the store. He would have ideas how some of the jewelry that came in could look better if it was designed differently. A few years later, he sold the pawn shop and opened his first jewelry store.
 
In 2005, George sold his jewelry store and moved to Cedar Park to be closer to family. In 2021, he designed and opened his dream store, Ranch Road Jewelry, located at 1400 E. Whitestone Blvd. This full-service jewelry store boasts a team with over 80 years of combined experience. George is renowned for his community involvement by consistently donating items for local events.
 
George’s passion for the jewelry business is evident in every aspect of Ranch Road Jewelry. Customers are valued and treated with the utmost care, ensuring when they enter the store, it is all about them. This dedication to customer satisfaction is reflected in numerous positive reviews.
